Perfect Fit blinds in Tyldesley
A blind in its own slim frame that clips into your uPVC window. No drilling, no cords, and it moves with the window when you open it.
A blind that clips in, rather than one you screw to the wall
A Perfect Fit blind sits in its own slim frame that clips into the rubber bead around your double-glazed unit. Nothing is drilled, nothing is screwed to the plaster, and when you move house you can take it out and leave the frame exactly as you found it.
Because it is held against the glass it moves with the window. Open a top light or a patio door and the blind goes with it. It does not swing about or clatter, and it does not need holding back.
There is nothing hanging: no cord, no chain, no loop. You raise and lower it with your hand.
The catch, worth knowing before we call round: it only goes on uPVC, and the bead has to be deep enough to grip. Simon will tell you at the door whether your frames will take it, not after you have chosen a fabric.
Where they work
- uPVC windows and doors. Open the window and the blind goes with it, so the handle still turns.
- Conservatories, roof included. Side windows, opening windows, skylight windows and shaped conservatory roof blinds.
- Windowsills with things on them. The blind sits back against the glass, so your ornaments stay where they are.
- Houses with children or pets. Nothing dangles, so there is nothing to reach for.
What you can have
Three fabrics, five frame colours, and one thing that decides it all: the bead on your window.
| Fabric | Pleated, roller or venetian, made up in the same frame, so you can match what is already in the room. |
|---|---|
| Frame colours | Five, so the frame lines up with your uPVC instead of fighting it. |
| Operation | The bottom bar, moved by hand. The guide wires run inside the sides of the frame, so nothing is on show. |
| Fitting | Into the bead around the glazing unit. No drill, no dust, no plugs in the plaster. |
| Windows it suits | uPVC side windows, opening windows, skylight windows, doors and shaped conservatory roof blinds. |
| Measuring | Free, at your own window, with the sample books open on the sill. Evenings and weekends too. |
| Warranty | The manufacturer's warranty. It varies by blind and by manufacturer, so ask and we will tell you what covers yours. See the warranty. |
When Perfect Fit is not the answer
- Wooden sashes and slim aluminium frames. There is nothing for the frame to grip.
- Windows with no bead gap, which we can only tell you by looking.
- One blind stretched across a whole bay. This system fits pane by pane.
- A blind hung outside the recess, over the plaster. Perfect Fit lives inside the frame.
If your frames will not take them, we will say so and show you what will.
Questions we get asked
If yours isn't here, ring the showroom on 01942 882 181 and ask. Asking costs you a phone call.
Will Perfect Fit blinds go on my windows?
Most modern uPVC will take them, double glazing, conservatories and uPVC doors alike. What decides it is the rubber bead, and whether there is enough of it for the frame to grip. Simon can see that by looking, so it is a minute on the doorstep rather than a wasted afternoon.
Do you have to drill the frames?
No drill comes out of the van. That matters most in a conservatory, where nobody wants holes in a frame they paid a lot of money for. Take them down again years later and there is nothing to fill in.
Will they get in the way of the handle or the windowsill?
Neither. The blind lies flat against the glass rather than standing off it, so the handle keeps its full swing. And because the whole thing travels with the window, a top light or a patio door still opens as normal.
Which fabrics can I have in a Perfect Fit frame?
Pleated is the one most people picture, but roller and venetian go in the same frame, so a Perfect Fit window need not look odd next to the rest of the room. Ask about the frame colours too. There are five, and it is the bit people wish they had thought about once they see them lined up.
Child safety
Perfect Fit is cordless by design, not by upgrade. The guide wires run inside the sides of the frame and the only part you touch is the bottom bar, so there is nothing dangling at toddler height. It is usually the first thing Simon points at in a house with a small child or a cat that climbs. More on child safety.
The rest of what we fit
If Perfect Fit will not go on your frames, one of these will. Plantation shutters included.
Not sure your frames will take them?
Simon will look at the bead, measure the glass and tell you there and then. It takes about a minute, and there is nothing to sign at the end of it.
