A price that halves the moment you push it was never the real price. Ours does not move. Whatever Simon works out standing at your window is what it costs, and it is the same figure for the next house down the street.

No countdown clocks. No banner promising a deadline that never actually arrives. No discount that only exists so it can be taken off again.

When we genuinely do have something on, it will be on this page: what it is, who it applies to, and the dates it runs. That is the whole system.

What is always included, and always free

These are not offers. They are just how we have done it since 1983, and none of them depends on you signing anything.

• Calling round with the sample books. You see the fabrics in your own light, in your own living room, at a time that suits you. Evenings and weekends are no bother.
• Measuring every window. We measure ourselves rather than send you a guide and hope. If a measurement is wrong, it is ours to put right.
• A written price before we leave. Worked out in front of you, written down, and yours to sit on for as long as you like. Nothing to sign, and nobody rings you to chase it.
• The manufacturer's warranty. Every blind comes with one. It varies by blind and by manufacturer, so ask us and we will tell you which warranty covers the blind you are choosing before you order. If something needs looking at afterwards, ring us and we will come and look at it. More on warranties.

Why our price does not move

Nobody here earns commission, so nobody gains anything by talking you into more blinds than you need. There is no manager to ring from your hallway, no “special price if you decide tonight”, and no discount waiting behind a bit of hesitation.

Simon writes the price down and Simon is the one up the stepladder a fortnight later. The number has to be one he can still stand behind on fitting day.

It also means we will tell you when the cheaper blind is the right blind. That happens more often than you would think. Talking someone into a dearer one they did not need is how you lose the next job on that street.

If a price ever seems to change between the quote and the fitting, ring us. It should not, and if it has we will explain it or put it back.
